I just started surfing and I have falling in love with it and I have been doing my research on what the best first board would be and I have found the pop out mini mals and others but I was just wondering what you guys would recommend
Thank you
It depends on your height, but usually a board that is a couple of inches bigger than you are, nice and wide, plenty of meat in the rails and most of all buoyant. A single fin is a great way to develop the fundamentals of surfing. Stay clear of performance boards until your experienced, It's the one biggest mistake all new surfers make.
Hi
I have done some surf lesson anhave graduated to the green wave. I have been using a 7'6 fish tail board which I can catch some waves on, but I am not consistant and generally fall off just after catching the wave. I was thinking maybe the board is a little to advanced for my level. I am 5'10 in height and am 13.5 stone in weight. I was thinking of buying a minimal board going from the ratings, the board Im looking at is 7'6 long 21.5 wide 2.75 thick. Just wondering will this board be a better design
